Today was HARD to say the least. The three younger kids all got vaccinations, and at one point, there were three crying children in the stuffy room. My boys were by my mother-in-law, and in hindsight, it might have been easier to have them there- but I hate for well children to go to the doctors office for no reason.
By the time my husband walked in the door at 6:30, I was ready to collapse, but somehow mustered up the energy and motivation to go to run-which I did!!!
11 weeks till the 10k and I need every day!

Mommy Camp- start of week #5
Can not believe that four weeks have passed by, I am truly enjoying doing this! I really had some trepidation before and after making the decision to do mommy camp. I will not say its easy, because nothing about being a parent is easy, but it was meant for me and my kids this summer. Next summer I will most probably send the boys for a half-session each, alternating, so they will get the best of both worlds. My boys will need the counselor/learning/chassidish environment- as they are getting older!
here's to a great week !

Mommy Camp Day #13
Today was a blast, and I didn't spend a dime!
We left the house at 12:30, after a thorough first-floor clean in preperation for shabbos. We did the normal morning routine which includes davening, tehilim, site words, multiplication/division and addition, and a bit of number matching for the kids.
We went to Round Hill Farm where the kids spent close to an hour with the lambs. They were so playful and fun to be around. The sun was hot, but the kids didn't mind!
Next, we went to the nearby spray park where everyone had so much fun, I coudln't believe it when I saw that it was close to 4 p.m!
We got home after a bit of traffic at 5, and now the three younger ones went to bed without a peep!
Here's to great free days with the kidos!

Mommy Camp Day #12
Today was another hard one. We were indoors all day save for one hour at frog park and a dip in the pool afterwards
I managed to do some great reading with tiferes, and multiplication/division practice with Dovid, and two digit addition with yomin. We are on a roll as far as academia is concerned.
We are going away next week from monday-thursday and my mind is preoccupied with the preperations necessary for the trip. Tomorrow we are going to Round Hill Farm and spray park, so that will be the big trip of the week!
Until tomorrow, cheerio!

Mommy Camp Day #10
Thursday, July 5th 2012
Today was a hard one to say the least. I don't know if it was the fact that we stayed in (except to drop off food by someone and to drop off library books) all day, or the heat or I dunno. But it was the first HARD day of these 10 days.
I woke up later than usual at around 9. My oldest, thank G-d gives everyone their breakfast and took the baby out of her bed and gave her a bottle and something to eat too.
I get downstairs and start on the food I have to make for two lovely mom's who just had babies. I wanted to get it done and out of the way early, and with the help of the kids I did it. One huge batch of corn salad, a kugel, chicken and chocolate moose.
The kids helped with all the food, but I think somewhere along the line, everyoen got hot, tired, cranky and hungry because at around 12:30 all h*ll came loose.
There were some time outs given, and some crying, yes- and a few time outs for mommy too. hubby walked in late, so it was an extra hour with them today.
We didnt have any structured routine today, but thats ok. We did make it out to the pool and afterwards we all made challah together. we had some reading time on the floor and some hide and seek, but overal was a harder than usual day stuck in the house- way too hot for this early in the summer
Here's to a good week ahead, week #3 of 10!

Mommy Camp Day #9
Today was another hot day! I can handle this heat way better than the freezing cold, so I just gota remember that
This morning everyone did a bit of this and that. The boys davened and I had them read their novels that they got from the bookstore last week. I introduced four three-letter words to tiferes, and she picked it up fast. She can now read simple sentences such as Mat sat on cat. We are getting there!
at noon, I took Yonason and Tiferes to a bris, and left the boys at home doing their math sheets, while the baby slept.
at 2, we went to the science center until 4. At 4:30, a cousin came over to play with the boys, while I started dinner, or dinners as I should say, as I made mine as well.
5:30-bathed the three younger ones, followed by some bedtime stories and bed at 6:45
During the day today I baked four separate cakes for my husbands minyan in shul. Pumpkin Spice, Butterscotch, Apple and Peach. The house smells divine- the kids had fun helping!
Now to go running!
